ALTUS Aluminum Frame Slab Formwork: Designed for Durability and Repeated Use
Time: 2026-10-30

In slab formwork applications, long-term performance depends not only on structural design but also on material quality, connection methods, and component protection.

The ALTUS Aluminum Frame Slab Formwork System combines lightweight T6061 aluminum frames with carefully designed plywood bonding and connection processes to support durability, convenient maintenance, and repeated use.

From secure bonding to replaceable components, every detail of ALTUS is designed with long-term use in mind.

1. Secure Plywood-to-Frame Bonding

A reliable connection between the plywood and aluminum frame is essential for maintaining panel performance throughout repeated use.

ALTUS uses Sika adhesive between the plywood and T6061 aluminum frame to create a secure bond, helping maintain component integrity during handling, installation, and repeated concrete pouring operations.

Key benefits:

•

Secure bonding between plywood and aluminum frame
•

Improved connection stability during repeated use
•

Reliable panel construction for everyday site operations

2. Protected Plywood Edges for Longer Service Life

Plywood edges are particularly exposed to moisture and physical wear during construction and cleaning operations.

To improve edge protection, ALTUS applies protective paint to the plywood edges. This treatment helps reduce moisture penetration and edge damage, contributing to longer plywood service life.

Edge protection helps to:

•

Reduce moisture absorption through exposed edges
•

Help prevent premature edge deterioration
•

Support repeated use and easier maintenance

3. Replaceable Components for Easier Maintenance

Long-term formwork performance also depends on how easily individual components can be maintained or replaced.

ALTUS adopts an aluminum blind rivet connection process that facilitates component replacement. When individual components require attention, the connection design makes maintenance and replacement more convenient, helping reduce the need for replacing entire panels.

Designed for practical maintenance:

•

Aluminum blind rivet connection design
•

Convenient component replacement
•

Improved maintenance flexibility

4. Designed for Repeated Use

The combination of durable aluminum frames, protected plywood edges, and replaceable components supports the long-term use of the ALTUS system.

8–10 YEARS

T6061 ALUMINUM FRAME SERVICE LIFE

T6061 aluminum frames designed for long-term durability and reliable performance with proper use and maintenance.

30–50 REUSES

PLYWOOD PANEL REUSE

High-quality plywood panels designed for 30–50 reuse cycles with proper handling, cleaning, and maintenance.

By combining material durability with practical maintenance features, ALTUS helps contractors make better use of their formwork investment over multiple construction cycles.

5. Lightweight Design and Efficient Assembly

Durability is only one part of system performance. ALTUS is also designed to simplify handling and improve installation efficiency.

With an average panel weight of approximately 17 kg/m², the system supports convenient manual handling. Under standard working conditions, two workers can assemble approximately 180 m² within an 8-hour shift.

Key performance features:

•

Approx. 17 kg/m² average panel weight
•

Approx. 180 m² assembly output per day
•

Based on two workers and an 8-hour shift

6. Optional Early Striking System

For projects requiring faster formwork turnover, ALTUS can be upgraded with an optional early striking system.

By replacing the support heads and adding a limited number of additional components, the existing ALTUS system can be adapted to incorporate early striking functionality without replacing the entire system.

Upgrade advantages:

•

Replacement of standard support heads
•

Addition of a limited number of components
•

Early striking when concrete reaches the specified strength, subject to engineering approval and project requirements

ALTUS: Built for Durability, Designed for Reuse
